I Love Flavor.
I also like to make people happy, and cooking for them is one way to make both myself and them happy. I enjoy trying new things and then introducing other people to those flavors too (frequenty at the same meal).
I have passions for many different cuisines: Thai, Sichuan, Indian, Persian, Moroccan, French, and various periods of Historical Cookery. I’ve been cooking for years now and am as comfortable cooking for 200 as for just 1 or 2.
Unless they’re running a restaurant, Ive never understood people who have “Secret Recipes.” I know some cooks who refuse to share their recipes, or who do so and leave a vital ingredient out (which is just plain mean). Food is a joy to be shared. If someone wants the recipe for a food we’ve enjoyed, I’m happy to share it. Maybe, they’ll even return the favor by making it for me!
